One market. Many different conditions.

An average can hide the periods that explain how an idea behaves.

Look inside the average

Break observations into meaningful periods and describe the differences. The point is to understand the context around the result, not to find a favourable slice.

Define the conditions first

Choose how you will describe market conditions before examining the outcomes. Keep that definition consistent so the comparison remains understandable.

Keep the limitations visible

Small samples and changing conditions make comparisons harder. Record what the data can tell you and which questions remain open.

Context is part of the observation, not an optional footnote.
